Taking the practice off the mat, and into our home kitchen. Eating a variety of delicious, nutritious, fresh foods helps us maintain a balanced mind and body, prevent disease and accelerated ageing.
The ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda emphasize the importance of eating foods that are wholesome, and alive with PRANA, and also foods that naturally help eliminate accumulated toxins from the body. If a food is not alive with Prana, it does not energize the body and leaves us feeling heavy and lethargic. The purpose of food is to build energy, strength and endurance of the body. If the body is weak, it becomes incapable of eliminating toxins, and also prana is sapped. More importantly, if food does not get digested properly, it gets stored and becomes toxic "ama" in Ayurveda, and the net result is disease and illness of varying degrees depending upon the extent of toxic build up.
Your body knows what you need if you just listen to it. Yoga and Ayurveda divide food into three categories: Sattvic (pure and energizing); Rajasic (over stimulating and causes restlessness) and Tamasic (inertia and lethargy).
The Yogacara Home Kitchen caters to this philosophy with fresh, simple, delicius and nutritious food, designed to give you the maximum amounts of energy and vitality. We invite you to experience the tasty simplicity of our food that nourishes and energizes your mind, body and spirit.
